This foreign bank in Shanghai specialises in corporate banking and is currently providing an opportunity for a Senior VP, Finance to join its team. The successful candidate is expected to lead a team of qualified accountants and be responsible for reporting, tax and treasury projects. Through close consultation with the CFO and head of businesses, this candidate is expected to act as a partner to contribute towards building the franchise.
Key Responsibilities:
responsible for setting up processes, policies and procedures through providing leadership and direction for end-to-end executions
partner with external and internal regulatory bodies to lead project governance
build and maintain relationships with regulatory and governmental departments where appropriate
responsible for complex financial activities involving the implementation of strategic plans, profitability analysis, forecasting and financial reporting for a business unit
lead projects and coordinate resources
supervise a small team and manage partner relationships
work closely with the head office and regional finance leadership teams in Hong Kong and Singapore
lead and initiate technology-related innovations to foster excellence and innovate/envision competitive solutions whilst working with technology partners to effectively implement and execute
Key Requirements:
bachelors degree with a major in Accounting or Finance; MBA is preferred
over 15 years banking experience in China
previous experience in a mid-senior management position within a financial industry
possess strong knowledge of banking products and a general overview of corporate operations
strong leadership and management skills
experience in budgeting/financial planning/management reporting
ability to manage and lead a team of more than 10 in addition to possessing significant achievements in growing and building talented teams
excellent industry/market intelligence and established network with regulatory bodies
